01Environmental engagement

A green transition of shipping is both morally right and good for business.

Bergshav is mindful of our impact on the environment and we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations, particularly on reducing discharges to air, ground and ocean. We apply the same mindset throughout all the Group’s activities.

Climate change is a serious social and economic challenge that requires urgent action involving all sectors of the economy, including international shipping. Bergshav is mindful of and shares the International Maritime's Organization’s (IMO) target of reducing carbon emissions by 40 % by 2030 and to zero by 2050.

Our pledge is to demonstrate respect for the natural environment
Zero oil spills into water and zero LPG spills into air Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations and best practices mandated by various IMO requirements, ISM Code and MLC.
Ensure that all vessels in our fleet are registered with first class flag states and classed by IACS classification societies.
Ensure that all vessels are responsibly recycled.

02Care for people and society

Bergshav is mindful of the social risks involved in all industries we operate in, including health and safety issues, labor rights and human rights issues.

03Good governance

Bergshav is mindful of the inherent challenges and risks in terms of governance across all industries we are involved in, in particular in relation to corruption, money laundering and trade restrictions and sanctions.

We have zero tolerance for corruption such as bribery and facilitation payments, which may undermine legitimate business activities, distort competition, ruin reputations and expose companies and individuals to risk.

Ensure that all major contracts include applicable anti-corruption clauses.
Seek external advice to ensure compliance with national, regional and international sanctions and trade restrictions.
Building an internal culture for risk management, and conducting internal training on how to handle third party risk management procedures.

Protect whistleblowers from any form of retaliation
